Seems so rare lately that we hear anything good about Americans' rights. Every day, another seems to be taken away. So today's news brought two good stories, both related to gay rights. Happy day!

I don't really follow the news, but the gay marriage ban seemed to come out of nowhere. It was ridiculous and I'm glad it got voted down, although I read one senator saying that he excpected it to fail and it's got to go through a few times before they got a majority vote. So they already plan to waste MORE time and money on something so obscene?? Grr..
Just wanted to say "Thank you. It's nice to know that we have straight allies" just because I know that doesn't get said enough.
