Dear Coca-Cola
"Dear Coca-Cola" is live today at Journal of Modern Post. Whee!
Initially, I intended to use this space for NaNoWriMo ('04). I've since changed my mind. In general, this space will deal with the various things I'm doing as a writer and editor, but will occasionally delve into the personal as well. As if there are blogs that don't.

You shouldn't drink so much Coke.
Oh god, Dave, did you read the piece in there by Pasha Malla? "Dear Dave Edgers"? It's really funny. I died. OK, I didn't die. But I laughed. I laughed internally. I rarely laugh out loud when I read. Only occasionally do I laugh out loud when I read. I laughed out loud once when I first read Flannery OConnor's "A Good Man Is Hard to Find," when the grandmother's cat jumps on the dad's head while he's driving. Shit, that's comedy, I tell ya. Damn, I need to be put to work. Do you need anything painted?
I LOVED Pasha's Dave Edgers piece. I thought it was freaking hilarious.
Please don't die.
"Dear Coca Cola" was fun read. So was Malla's letter. I'd never before heard of the Journal of Modern Post. Now I'm intrigued and no doubt will revisit thanks the introduction your piece provided. I also recently enjoyed discovering Joe Young through your site. Thanks for that. I'll be checking back to read more.

Boy, I hate that you can't edit comments once they're entered. You can only delete 'em. How stoooopid.
Anyway...
Thanks so much, Matt. I just hopped over to your blog and there's some very, very fine writing there, so I'm doubly flattered. If you like Joe, check out the other folks listed to the right under "Take Me to the River." Some really excellent writers listed there.
